On the menu:
- Wine braised brisket, served cold with mustard (it is hot here!)
- Fresh challah
- Chilled green beans in vinaigrette
- Something with figs and goat cheese (??)
- Olives
(On the menu last week was chicken adobo with white rice and a cold cucumber and onion salad)
Figs! I love figs! I love pulling them warm off of a tree and just biting into them. So soft and delicious. These are from New Seasons and I've had better, but they are still figs.
I had to photograph them all close up, because the rest of my kitchen looked like this:
Which isn't exactly picturesque.
